Working on hand puppets

I am hoping to start creating easy hand puppet type toys (knitted) pattern to go in each issue of our newsletter. One I got done but see where I need to make it longer is a skunk though it kinda looks like a bear lol, I was making it into a hat for a baby then my son Gabe grabbed it and said mom is this a puppet, he grabbed onto that and wanted to play with, so I finally gave it to him and it got my brain rolling, hum what if we made some for children in hospitals, no sharp ends and they are light weight and can be used laying in bed.

I also a working on more patterns all the time. I created a cute little hat but with hats its hard to make an original someone else hasn't thought of already. However I do have a neat idea for another burial outfit...........

In memory of Aidan

I had a mom write me and ask if I could make a hat for her upcomming new baby girl in memory of her baby boy whom passed away. Well my heart was moved, I decided to not only make a hat but booties and a cardigan. Here are the booties, now I will be working on the hat next then the cardy.. This pattern in the michelle booties (link to pattern with post with pink booties) I adjusted the pattern where I did a knit 2, purl to Rib pattern on top of bootie. Its so adorable in person. I am afraid my cell phone didn't take the pictures real well.

An Angel being buried today

We received a call of a little baby boy that passed away and needed our help ASAP, the family is was completely broke, I mean they had nothing. We were called and I called our Region that is active in making caskets and burial gowns out of wedding gowns.

I called the family and told them we could help, and the friend who was sitting this all up started to cry and was very moved by what we offer and begin to tell me about the family and their struggles and how she felt this was one of the very things that might help heal this family.

Region 3 made plans to ship a casket and burial garments ASAP (the next morning) then by evening I get and email telling me they were going to drive it they live in WA and we live in OR. I was so personally moved by this volunteers unselfish act.

The casket and burial garments and then she made a matching memory box and more..

This is all of it together!!!
As I sit here and type this I realize that the babies funeral is in 5 min and it makes me sad to think another family will not ever see that baby here on earth again.
I just pray that this family comes together and mends through this loss.

Preemie booties

Pattern go here except I seed stitched the top and put a nice bow on each bootie.

The preemie size is a little over an inch for me using 3 ply yarn bernat softee baby yarn. This would fit a medium sized preemie.

This is the booties next to chapstick lip gloss.
